CRUCIBLE by James Rollins

I love James Rollins’ books. Not only is he a brilliant writer and storyteller he’s one of the nicest guys I know. And he’s a veterinarian. His Sigma Force novels blend history, science, action and adventure. They’re entertaining, and I also always learn something new.

From the jacket: In the race to save one of their own, Sigma Force must wrestle with the deepest spiritual mysteries of mankind in this mind-expanding adventure from the #1 New York Times bestselling author, told with his trademark blend of cutting edge science, historical mystery and pulse-pounding action.

I just bought this one, so I haven’t read it it yet, but it promises to be interesting for those of us who love K9 stories.

From the jacket: Rose introduces readers to police dogs and their handlers in the United States, Canada, Britain and France. You’ll go on a hair-raising chasr outside Vancouver to catch a felon, patrol the remote pine forests and wild mountains in Eastern Washington and track a runaway teenager. You’ll also meet a jail dog names Sasha, a cadaver detection dog named Sampson and travel to Europe to meet the Paris dog brigade.
