What’s included in your registration?
Each guest will receive a few small gifts from Alex. If you are staying at the HILTON, Alex has a welcome gift. The Saturday luncheon includes Q&A with Alex. Books and merchandise will be available at special heavily discounted prices for attendees. Registration is handled on a first-come, first served basis and space is limited so please register as soon as you can to ensure your spot. Click here to register online for the luncheon. All registrations must be received by October 1st, 2020. Walk-in registrations the weekend of the event will not be accepted. If you have any questions about registration, please contact email@example.com.
What do you mean by $5 of the ticket price goes to PROMISE 4 PAWS Senior Dog Sanctuary?
All dogs are special to Alex. In 2018 a V.I.R. Club member introduced Alex to this wonderful charity that gives a home to senior dogs that are abandoned, rescued by the Nebraska Humane Society or left alone because of a death of their owner. The charity is run through just donations and volunteers who donate their time to love and nurture the end days of senior dogs. This year Alex is pledging to match each of the guest’s donation with an equal donation from herself. Together we’ll present our donation to Promise4Paws at the luncheon.
I need to cancel…what do I need to do?
All registration cancellations must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests received on or before September 1st, 2019, will receive a 75% refund. Requests received between September 2-15th will receive a 50% refund. Requests received after October 1st may not receive a refund and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Alex will sign books after her presentation and Q&A.
What is included in the meal?
The luncheon is a salad and choice of Roasted Chicken Breast or a Vegetarian dish yet to be decided upon, including dessert and tea or coffee.
When can I talk to Alex?
Don’t be shy! If you have a moment to chat with Alex one-on-one, please do it. She’s honored you’ve come and wants to get to know you!
What should I wear?
Attire for the luncheon is casual and comfortable. Omaha in mid-October can be delightful with comfortable temperatures of highs in the low to mid 60’s. You’ll want to bring a jacket as one thing about the Nebraska weather you can count on is that it can change at a moment’s notice. Walking shoes are encouraged for exploring Omaha’s Old Market area.
How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
The HILTON DOWNTOWN CAPITOL DISTRICT has courtesy vans that will pick you up and take you back to the airport.
I have a food allergy. Who should I contact?
Please email Deb to discuss your food allergies.
I have mobility concerns and/or health restrictions. Who should I contact?
Please email Deb to discuss your mobility concerns or health restrictions.
Can I bring friends or my husband even though they aren’t members of the VIR Club?
Absolutely! Alex enjoys meeting new readers.
